Our Story

Early Years

When I was 10 years old, I was diagnosed with ADHD. School was always an uphill battle for me, feeling like I was running while my classmates were walking. When I went to the Savannah College of Art and Design, things were a bit easier since it was art-based, but it was still a struggle to stay on task, especially with the rigorous course load compared to other schools.

Pandemic Challenges

By the time the pandemic lockdown came and went, returning to school was extremely difficult for me. Like many others, I found the shift challenging and made the difficult decision to drop out with only a year left. It was hard watching my classmates graduate, knowing I didn’t have that chance. However, I forged a new path for myself, defying the odds and expectations. Within a year, the business I built from the ground up was flourishing.

The Ginkgo Leaf Motif

The ginkgo leaf motif is special to me because it symbolizes hope, strength, and resilience. When I discovered this symbolism, I made it an intrinsic part of my brand identity. Not only for what it represents to me, but for the hope that this same symbol can resonate with others who feel like they are fighting a similar current in their lives.

Invitation

I invite you all to explore the ginkgo leaf and the pieces of Sydney Jane Jewelry, which are more than just adornments but symbols of hope, strength, and resilience.
